Story by Monica Zech
It’s Spring and here at City Hall we’re enjoying seeing the dozens of baby ducklings at the City Hall pond playfully swimming along. All the nearby construction activity has not ruffled any of their feathers.
Construction includes the Public Safety Center north of the pond and the Prescott Promenade renovations just south of the pond – the ducks hardly even notice. Residents are enjoying the cute little ducklings too.
Daily people, sometimes with children, stop by to feed the ducks. But, please remember to throw any bags you bring into the nearby trash cans, and wading in the water is not permitted – especially watch your young children due to slippery conditions – and you’ll scare the ducks.
Another reminder – if you are walking your dogs around City Hall, or at any of our City parks, please remember to pick up after your dogs. By the way, construction on the PSC is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2011, while renovations at the Prescott Promenade should wrap up by early July – weather and equipment permitting.
