Members of the 2010 class of Leadership East County spent the day yesterday learning about the rich culture and history of the San Diego East County area. Their day began at the Barona Cultural Center where they studied the history of East County’s first culture. The Kumyaay/Diegueno band of American Indians that originally inhabited the region.
The second half of the day was spent at the Museum of Man in Balboa Park where the exploration of early East County culture continued.
